What's the connection to the Long Island Fall Cluster, you ask?     We admit ... not too much!!

Though the 1933 mystery story takes place around a Long Island dog show, it was filmed in Burbank, California.

The Long Island Kennel Club, which is not a part of our Cluster, apparently allowed the use of its name [A]

Westbury wasn't in on it at all. SCKC and the Big Apples didn't exist yet.

S. S. Van Dine was the pseudonym for mystery writer Willard Huntington Wright who bred and showed champion Scotties.

William Robertson Coe of Planting Fields, bred champion horses, not dogs. The real Coe Brothers were never murdered.

Pay close attention to the many twists in the plot, and enjoy our classic murder mystery movie.          We certainly did!!
