SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER ... WHEN THE SUMMER'S THROUGH
See You in September ~ The Happenings ~ 1966
Mother Nature gave us spectacular weekend weather in 2025. Not so in 2026!
Super-storms and hurricanes do cancel shows. In the face of the first major seasonal Nor'easter, and preferring caution over risk,
New York's Governor Kathy Hochul ordered all State Parks in the path of the storm to be closed, cancelling all said Parks' events.
SCKC and Westbury wanted all of our exhibitors and their dogs to be safe. We agreed that closure was a "Best In Show" decision.
In addition, a State of Emergency was declared on Long Island, which in part warns people to stay off the roads for their safety.
The Weather Channel image on the left projected the Cluster Weekend storm, overnight. Yellow/Orange areas are the heaviest rain.
The image on the right, courtesy of Vincent Simione, Planting Fields Park Manager, was taken Saturday near the Arboretum's entrance.
The road in the facility was blocked. Overnight the storm's very heavy rain completely saturated the grounds.
2027's weather? Not even speculation as we review 2026. Thanks for your support. See everyone next Autumn in New York!
