​​The 2024 show weekend almost didn't happen. Extra effort was put into a cooperative three day set of shows by our Four Club Cluster. We  shared location, expenses, experience, and responsibilities. We shared judges too. In our case, it helped that many key show personnel belong to all the clubs. Our Cluster is based on Long Island (New York) and consists of these clubs, from youngest to oldest:

The "Apples" are AKC Group Clubs. Suffolk and Westbury are AKC All-Breed clubs. As a Cluster we are doing everything we can to keep Long Island Dog Shows ON Long Island! We had focused inter-club cooperation, many supportive Westburians and others who helped. That's teamwork!

In 2024 the cluster added FSS® (Foundation Stock Service®). In this era of lower entry numbers, and higher production expenses, the cluster concept proved to be an excellent cost-effective strategy. It worked. All eight Cluster shows plus FSS® were in ONE location for the three days. It was extremely convenient for exhibitors. but alas, NO sunshine! Maybe next year!​​
